IP Communications

IP communications with business:

IMS is a functional specification that enables common elements to be consolidated in a logical form. Unfortunately, misunderstanding can drive excess costs. CXO will give a pragmatic look at the standard from the service providers’ perspective. Service providers being pressed to offer seamless interworking of personalized services and applications. Also, service providers need to embrace simplicity within their services for subscribers, although, this adds more complexity for the operators.

As service providers look at future offerings, is it more prudent to move towards mobile video or Quad play. Do they need be mutually exclusive? Furthermore, service providers are also being threatened by community broadcast services and must develop services to circumvent municipal strategies.

In the past, Telecom and data services were wholly independent functions. But, today, with the evolution towards converged communications, virtually all services in the organization are moving to data networks. Therefore, to remain efficient and agile, organizations are merging the telecommunications functions into the IT organization. CXO looks at the best ways for companies to work with service providers to merge the two functions into a combined entity which provides the best service for users of both data and voice.

VoIP technology is now being offered by the service providers across the country and around the globe. Increased quality of service and better user experiences are changing how enterprises empower workers and conduct daily operations. These technologies enable cost savings, enhanced inter-company collaboration, better customer service and increased employee efficiency. But not all VoIP solutions are right for every enterprise. CXO will address some of the key disruptive technologies that are having an impact today and will describe their benefits and risks. Also, we will help any organization to make better and more strategic selections from the myriad of new technology choices from the service providers.
