IT Security

IT security with business :

The whole area of IT security is ever evolving, and sits among a constantly changing business landscape. While things change, there is still a continuous need to educate and inform executive management that IT security is top priority. Such a vast subject area needs to be broken down, so that key areas can be identified, which not only eliminate risk, but also assist the enterprise in becoming more successful. As IT security professionals are making progress, so, too, are the hackers. Although the rate of failure may be decreasing, the number of high loss incidents is on the rise.

What this all means is quite simple; the IT department and the boardroom must be aligned when it comes to creating an effective IT security roadmap. This can only be achieved through cutting edge thought leadership, end-user experience, and unique vendor perspectives. The key role of CXO is to shift the perception of IT Security amongst CXO’s as a mere business barrier, to a business enabler. In essence, CXO will focus on demonstrating how investment in information security can deliver value and ROI to the enterprise through enhanced brand integrity, customer retention, market competitiveness, and shareholder value.
